ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY INSTALLATION

We have the know-how you need

Our methods

Trenchless rehabilitation means that entire pipelines don't need to be completely replaced to be rehabilitated. Amex Sanivar's products can rehabilitate up to 1,500m of pipeline with only one 3m x 3m pit at the entrance and exit. No more blocking off whole areas and streets, no more disrupting lives and routines for months. The benefits are endless.

SPEED

Amex Sanivar products can be installed in as little as a couple hours. This speed allows pipes to spend less time out of commission and more time servicing your customers.

ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY

Thanks to trenchless installation methods, Amex Sanivar products impact the environment less than other pipe rehabilitation or replacement methods.

LOCAL KNOW-HOW

Amex Sanivar uses local installation teams all over the world. They are first trained and certified by our technicians, after which they rehabilitate their local pipelines.

COST-SAVING

Amex Sanivar products require less time and less space to be installed - this leads to lower costs for you. A win-win.

Installing

SaniLine

SaniLine is a Cure-In-Place Pipe (CIPP) liner that is installed by inverting the resin filled liner through the host pipe. This method requires a number of steps to successfully complete the installation. Here is a brief overview:

  1. The pipe is thoroughly cleaned and allowed to dry

  2. The liner is transported to the job site

  3. The adhesive is mixed and poured into the liner

  4. The adhesive is spread throughout the liner and then rolled into the pressure drum

  5. The liner is moved to the entrance of the host pipe, where additional equipment is attached to the pressure drum to make the liner ready for inversion

  6. The liner is inverted through the host pipe at roughly 2-3 m/min

  7. The liner is cured through either steam or ambient temperatures to allow the adhesive to set and SaniLine to seal to the host pipe.

  8. Once cured either a stainless-steel band or Amex Liner End Seal is used to protect the liner end

  9. The host pipe is re-connected and reinstated

Installing

Amex Seals

Amex Seals are a rubber seal with accompanying stainless-steel bands. For installation, the Amex Seals require an Amex Sanivar hydraulic installation tool and can be installed in as little as 30 minutes. Here is a brief overview:

  1. The damaged area is cleaned of any protruding or sharp objects

  2. The seal is properly placed over the damaged area

  3. The stainless-steel bands are placed and, using the installation tool, pressed into the seal

  4. A wedge is hammered into the gap created by the installation tool between the ends of the stainless-steel bands

  5. The installation tool can be removed, and the next stainless-steel band placed

  6. If necessary, the seal can be pressure tested

  7. Once all seals are placed, the installation crew can exit the pipe and the pipe can be reinstated

Installing SaniTube

SaniTube is a Pull-In-Place Pipe (PIPP) liner that is installed by pulling the folded liner through the host pipe and then inflated and secured to the host pipe by our time-proven coupling SaniGrip. Here is a brief overview:

  1. The pipe is cleaned

  2. The liner is folded either pre-installation or with the Amex Sanivar folding machine at the job-site. This requires the liner to be taped shut so it holds its form during installation

  3. A winch is attached to the liner, and the folded liner is pulled the length of the pipe

  4. The liner is then inflated, bursting the tape, and allowing the liner to fit tightly in the pipe

  5. The SaniGrip couplings are attached

  6. The host pipe is re-connected and reinstated

With installers all over the world, Amex Sanivar has developed a training system that holds our partners to the same standards that our own installation crews are held to. This training system is composed of a theoretical test and a practical installation test. This is followed by a supervised installation from our trainers.
